Happy Thursday everyone!
There’s apparently a storm brewing. Make sure to stock up on liquor! I find myself hoping that this one is bad. I would love a natural disaster sanctioned moment when I am forced to be in my house. Perhaps then I can get things done and organize my life.
Usually, when any sort of storm is announced I go into planning mode. I over stock and go into survival mode. I make sure everything is clean. High up on my priority list is both beer and booze (is that the same thing?- haha!). I figure if I am going to be stuck in doors I might as well have a little party :). Last time I cooked a “last supper” of baked ziti. These sorts of things usually turn into a mini event. It’s nice to sort of slow the clock a bit. A thing that is both beautiful and rare when you live in New York City.
Winter Storm Nemo they are calling it! They dug into my favorite Pixar and pulled out a name- I think I might be slightly offended. Weather.com says it “is now poised to become the latest example of a powerful, potentially historic, February storm [with at least 2 feet of snow.]” NYMag says that there’s a possibility of getting at most 38.3 feet of snow. 2 through 38.3 is quite the spread my friends (I am no mathematician- what the heck do I know?!!?). This weather business is pretty accurate (laying on the sarcasm extra thick).
In the meantime here’s to hoping things are on the lower end of that scale. Projection says snow by Friday… or is that this evening? Either way, always always be prepared… Boy Scout Status!
